Matthew R. Cohen is an associate with Nielsen, Zehe, & Antas, P.C. His areas of practice include large property subrogation, product liability and construction litigation.

Mr. Cohen received his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2006. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2006, and the Northern District of Illinois in 2013.

Prior to joining Nielsen, Zehe & Antas, Mr. Cohen was associated with another Chicago law firm where his experience included extensive subrogation practice concentrating in large property loss claims. He also practiced at a boutique insurance defense firm where his experience included defending property damage and personal injury claims. He has tried numerous cases to successful jury verdict; his jury experience involves both plaintiff's cases and defense cases.

Mr. Cohen's subrogation practice has taken him to jurisdictions throughout the United States where he has represented subrogated insurers and often times uninsured or underinsured corporations. He has personally conducted and supervised numerous site investigations and catastrophic losses, including the retention of experts, for future use at trial.
